Talking about trauma and abuse can be difficult and confusing. You may want to process these experiences with someone who can support you. You may be dealing with the far-reaching impacts of trauma, and need help navigating day-to-day life. You may have a trauma history and need a therapist who is trauma-informed and understands the complex effects of trauma in humans. I can help- you don’t have to go through this alone.

Relaxation

Anxiety and stress come along with the other topics on this page, and with day-to-day life. On-going anxiety and long-term stress can change the way our nervous systems work, and can change the way we experience stress and relaxation. The good news is, WE can change these systems too, and therapy can help with that. In therapy, we’ll work together to make your anxiety feel manageable, and to help you enjoy more of life.

Confidence

We can all experience low self-esteem from time-to-time, but sometimes low self-esteem takes over our entire life. It can effect our identity, our relationships, our career, our mental health, our ability to experience happiness and peace. If your low self-esteem has become overwhelming, we can figure out how to get you feeling more comfortable in your own skin.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is offered to support moms with managing their mental health symptoms and navigating family life at home. Whatever that looks like to you. Historically, women have supported other women throughout motherhood, and supporting your mental health is an important part of that.

Play Time With-Baby

You can use this time for the three of us to explore new ways to play and get to know each other. You might want to learn new ways to interact with your child, or have special time to develop attachment in your relationship. This can be in-office or at home.

Mindfulness With-Baby

I want to support you in developing a mindfulness practice that you can integrate into your role as a parent. This could be learning skills, practicing skills “live” with me and your child, or doing mindfulness exercises to be more present with your baby.

 

This variety of postpartum support is intended to be mix-and-match to meet the needs of new moms, and provides flexibility for moms to access counseling while taking care of young children.
